U2, Irish rock band denied the rumors that the American rock band, Eagles of Death Metal will be performing with them during their slated Paris tour, according to The Guardian.
The rumors were that both the rock bands will share the stage during the two-day scheduled concert in Paris.
U2 band officially declared on the website about the band's scheduled performances and guest appearances. The website confirmed that Bono was busy writing a new song "Streets of Surrender," which is all about the deadly Paris attacks.
"We're back in Paris and it's great to be here," posted U2 on their website, Page Six reported. "Some people have been saying that Eagles of Death Metal will appear on stage with U2 tonight. This is not the case."
The New York Times reported that U2's concert on December 6 marked the presence crowd of 17,000 people. The special performance at the show was given by Patti Smith, American singer. She sang her 1988 song "People Have the power."
Bono also expressed how important it was for the band to return to Paris and perform. He said that all the band members felt the drive to pay their tribute to the victims of the attacks and also to lift up the spirit of the people in Paris.
Bono performed a five-song encore consisting of songs like "City of Blinding Nights, Beautiful Day, One, Bad and Don't leave me," reported Billboard.
Earlier, U2 had cancelled two concerts in Paris due to the terrorist attacks. The band members Bono, Adam Clayton, The Edge and Larry Mullen Junior, even visited the city after the attacks and paid their tributes outside the Bataclan theatre on November 14.
The concert was held on Sunday and Monday on December 6 and 7, in the "Accor Hotels Arena" in Bercy area. The concert "U2: Innocence +Experience Live in Paris," which took place on Monday, December 07, was aired live on HBO as a tribute to all the victims of the ISIS attacks in Paris.
