The highly anticipated second season comeback of the popular variety show "Shinhwa Boradcast" airs on the first week of November, but member Dongwan will not be with his members this time around.
"After talking to his Shinhwa members and the staff of Shinhwa Broadcast, Kim Dongwan has decided to leave the variety show", according to his management company Live Works.
"He feels apologetic towards his Shinhwa members and to the fans and viewers who have waited for the return of the show."
The physical and mental demands of the variety show make it difficult for Dongwan to focus on his singing and acting career, and he leaves the broadcast to show better performances in his other fields of interest.
Fans and netizens express their disappointment, as many have been looking forward to the return of the show with all its members, but they also wish Dongwan success in his acting career.
Also, there is no reason to fret, as Dongwan will still be participating in group promotions with Shinhwa, and their 12th album is being prepared for its release early next year.
Kim Dongwan was cast in the 2012 drama "Cheer Up, Mr. Kim!" and movie "Deranged". Currently, he plays the lead in the musical "Le Passe Muraille" which starts on November 13.
The new season of "Shinhwa Broadcast" premieres on jTCB on November 3.
