Im Seulong will join veteran actor Han Suk Gyu in the new film tentatively titled "War of The Father."
The film is based on a true story about a soldier that was found dead in a village between South and North Korea. No one seems to know what happened to him, so his father tries to find out how his son died.
Im's acting career has progressed nicely, winning him a few award nominations along the way.
The singer-actor originally debuted as a member of the group 2AM, which is taking a temporary break from recording. He joined the group in 2008 after demonstrating his talent in the contest show "Mnet's Hot Blood." He had his first acting role in 2010 when he appeared as Lee Min Ho's office assistant in "Personal Taste."
Since then Im has appeared appeared in both dramas and films. In 2012 he played a policeman who wanted to assassinate a former president in the film "26 Years." As a result of that role, he became the third idol group actor to win a rookie award for his film debut. He also appeared in the film "Late Spring," and is currently filming "Horror Stories 3."
His drama roles include playing a crown prince desperate to save his child in "The Fugitive of Joseon," an optimistic hotelier in "Hotel King" and an emotionally confused lawyer in "Hogu's Love." Im also appeared in the web drama "Love Cell" and with Kim Seul Gi starred in the remake of the webtoon series "Infinite Power."
The singer-actor also hosted the music program Inkigayo with f(x)' Sulli and 2PM's Nichkhun. Although 2 AM is not recording music at the moment, Im Seulong still makes music on how own and in collaboration with other artists.
