“The “Voice” judge, CeeLo Green may have heaved a sigh of relief when the sexual assault charges had been dropped by the LA District Attorney. But the hit singer may not be singing for joy as of yet as he has been slapped with felony drug charges Monday, Oct. 21.

Joined by his girlfriend and lawyer, counsel Blair Berk, Green, whose real name is Thomas DeCarlo Callaway, arrived at the LA court moments before his arraignment hearing. Through his counsel, he entered the plea of not guilty on one count of felony drug charges hurled by authorities against him.

The “Forget You” singer has been slapped with the drug charges after a 33-year old woman accused him of slipping ecstacy to her drinks while having dinner on July 13 (or 14) 2012. They then ended the evening going back to her hotel.

Citing a report by CNN affiliate KTLA report, CNN said that the woman accused Green of sexually assaulting her on the evening in question. A separate report by the Los Angeles Times noted that the woman claimed she was naked in bed and found Green in her room.

The petitioner argued a case of rape of intoxicated person. But the prosecutors refused to file sexual assault charges against Green with insufficient evidence to support the claims.

Green’s attorney issued a statement Monday, describing how “pleased the singer has been with the prosecutors’ decision to decline rape charges.” The defense counsel also told media that Green wants to “address the drug charges responsibly.”

"Mr. Green encouraged a full and complete investigation of those claims, and he was confident once conducted, he would be cleared of having any wrongful intent and it would be established that any relations were consensual," Berk said, according to CNN. "CeeLo had faith that if the true facts were known, the district attorney would reject those charges."

Green posted bail on drug felony charges and the bail was set at $30,000. Should the prosecutors found enough evidence to pin him down on drug charges, the singer could be facing four years in prison.
