Girls' Generation members Sooyoung (Choi Sooyoung) and Yuri (Kwon Yuri) will graduate from Chung-Ang University, alongside actress Park Shin Hye.

According to February 11 report published by The Korea Times, the acclaimed Hallyu stars will receive diplomas from the College of Arts at Chung-Ang University. The ceremony will be held at the Grand Theater on the Seoul campus of the college.

Sooyoung enrolled in Chung-Ang University in 2008 to pursue Theater and Film. She was joined by Yuri in 2010, who entered the freshman class with Big Bang's Seungri, who pursued a degree in Music.

In May 2014, Yuri and Sooyoung were appointed as the honorary ambassadors of the college.

"When I first came to school, I was like Jang Geu Rae from [the web comics and K-Drama] "Misaeng," said Sooyoung, an interview provided to the Chung-Ang college newspaper. I had thoughts like 'school is hard' and 'my friends must have prepared a lot before coming to school. I remember trying to catch with my friends, like Jang Geu Rae."

The K-pop idol and actress spoke positively about her transition throughout college while equating her trajectory to the character of Geu Rae, who was thrust into an internship with few practical skills and a high-school equivalency degree.

As previously reported, Park Shin Hye began her educational pursuits at the college in 2008 but was unable to promptly complete her degree, due to her rigorous acting schedule, which included roles in "You're Beautiful," "The Heirs" and "Pinocchio."

"Park Shin Hye returned to school," said a spokesperson for S.A.L.T Entertainment during in a September 2015 announcement.

The 25-year-old star completed her degree while filming the highly-anticipated film, "Hyung," which stars EXO's D.O. and Jo Jung Suk.

The agency recently announced the impending graduation for the actress but was unable to confirm her attendance at the ceremony, due to possible scheduling conflicts.

"She's finally graduating but we're not sure if she'll attend her graduation ceremony as she has an overseas schedule, said a spokesperson for S.A.L.T, as reported on February 1, by Sports Donga.

Park Shin Hye, Sooyoung, and Yuri will join the star-studded list of notable alumni who attended Chung-Ang University.

Graduates of the Theater and Film program include Hyun Bin, Jang Nara, and Kim Soo Hyun.
