Lee Kwang Soo has some comedy plans and some melodrama plans. One is a cameo and the other may well be leading role.

First, on February 24, Lee can be seen in a cameo appearance in the drama "Descendants of the Sun," which stars Song Hye Kyo and Song Joong Ki. Look for him wearing a military uniform with a hat that says "instructor." His appearance on the war melodrama is partly in support of his good friend actor Song Joong Ki.

Next, Lee Kwang Soo might take on a leading role in a comedy based on Korea's longest running webtoon, "The Sound of the Heart." Started in 2006, this webtoon has run for a decade and recently reached its 1,000th episode.if he takes the role, Lee would play the lead character Cho Suk.

On the surface the webtoon seems like a depiction of everyday life, but it's full of sarcastic humor and absurd situations that are not unlike those portrayed on some variety shows.

That makes Lee Kwang Soo the right actor, as he's a regular on the popular variety show "Running Man." Because of his popularity as a "Running Man" regular he has been called "The Prince of Asia" and is often mobbed by fans wherever he goes.

Lee Kwang Soo began his career as a model in 2007 and had his first acting role in the 2008 sitcom "Here He Comes," followed by the comedy "High Kick Through The Roof." His most recent drama was "It's Okay That's Love," with co-stars Jo In Sung and Gong Hyo Jin. Lee played a man with Tourette's Syndrome. He also recently appeared in the film Collective Invention," which earned him his first invitation to an international film festival.

"The Sound of the Heart" will consist of ten episodes of 10 minutes each, shown on Naver's TV Cast and then air on KBS.
