The synopsis for the drama is that it takes place between the end of the Goryeo Dynasty and at the beginning of the Joseon Dynasty, also it tells the story of the different conflicts that arise due to the desires of the characters for power and protection. Starring Yang Se Jong, AOA's Seolhyun and Jang Hyuk will be playing the role of the characters that viewers should anticipate in the story.
The JTBC network has dropped a new teaser starring Woo Do Hwan that will play the role as Nam Sun Ho, who is an aspiring military officer that has a deep emotional wounds because of the reason that his status as the illegitimate son of an important family.
Nam Sun Ho on the other side wields a sharp and long sword as he stated, "I will steal it even if it means turning my back against you." The stills from the drama also dropped some of the individual poster showing Nam Sun Ho standing alone in a chaotic battlefield with a bloody sword in his other hand.
The cold and bold poster conveys the sense of loneliness and empathy that is almost similar to the character's story. It raises the questions with regard to his wish for his country as well as his wish for his own fate in life's journey.
Meanwhile, the production team wants to increase the anticipation for the drama series by conveying, "A fierce story with figures of firm faith in the turbulent times of the Joseon Dynasty will be unveiled". Woo Do Hwan, who will be rediscovered as a true actor beyond his status as a trendy star will showcase a powerful transformation. "My Country" is set to premiere this coming October 4, 2019, on JTBC. It takes over the JTBC's Fridays and Saturdays 23: 00-time slot previously occupied by "Be Melodramatic" and followed by "Chocolate" second half this year.
