The drama is set to air on Wednesdays and Thursdays and is based on romance webtoon, titled "July Found by Chance". The drama will tackle the story if high school pupil Eun Dan Ho (played by Kim Hye Yoon) who finds out that she lives in a Korean comic or manhwa. Her fate starts to change after meeting another comic character, Number 13 (SF9's Rowoon).
Naeun's character, Yeo Joo Da, is a poor but a positive-minded girl who exudes an energetic attitude and a heart of gold. She has multiple part-time jobs to support her family's finances and goes to a school with mostly students from well-off families.
Then, her life gets entangled with Oh Nam Joo (played by Kim Young Dae), the top student of the school and the leader of the circle A3. For Naeun, she and her chosen character are "different but similar" at the same time.
"Joo Da is like candy. Despite the difficult and exhausting situations happening in her life, she stands back up every time like a roly-poly toy. Because I also try very hard to do that, I was able to see that side of me in Joo Da," she explained.
"Everyone wishes at least once to live a life where they are at the center, but while watching the drama, I hope viewers realize that being the center does not guarantee happiness," she went on. Extraordinary You premiers on October 2nd at 8:55 P.M. KST after Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung.
Earlier, Naeun participated in SBS's six-episode-drama Hip Hop King that tackles hip hop genre in general and the youth who grew up patronizing it. She starred with Cross Gene's Shin Won Ho, model Han Hyun Min, and Hoya. A video depicting the making of the show showed the set and the actors who were focused on their work and had their eyes glued to their respective scripts.
They were also spotted practicing their lines as they await the start of the filming. Meanwhile, Naeun's bandmate Jinsol is also slated to star in a webtoon-based and Playlist Studio drama, titled, You, The One I Met Again, alongside VICTON's Subin. Jinsol will portray the character of Da Som, whilst Subin is Jo Ah Sung, and both will be popular at Seoyeon High School.
