For starters, he humbly said that this was his first lead role and first time filming a historical drama so he learned many things. Kim Min Jae said that his character, Ma Hoon, is always dealing with the main characters in "Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency." He said that Ma Hoon and his real self had learned things from all the people they have encountered. He gained a lot of experience and knowledge from his first leading role and thanks to his co-stars and crew. Kim Min Jae responded to the comment that he looks like Yeo Jin Goo.
He said that he doesn't have any negative reactions towards the comment because he is used to hearing his resemblance with Yeo Jin Goo. He said that he just agreed to them and shared that he was Jin Goo's schoolmate. He also shared that people around them are saying they look alike since way back even though they're not related. He just ignored the comments in the past and have gotten used to it up to now. Kim Min Jae stressed that he has a different life and their values are not the same. He is hoping that someday, he will be able to be known as Kim Min Jae only. He thinks that he has his own unique traits and he should be known for his own achievements.
He was asked about season 2 of "Romantic Doctor Kim" and he expressed how much he enjoyed making the first season. He had a fun time with the cast and crew and he learned a lot from them. He said that the second season made him feel as if he was coming home after spending his day outside. He is happy to be back filming for the drama.
He also informed viewers that he's trying his best to maintain his healthy physical condition. He's saving his energy for the second season and shared that the drama will mainly focus on surgery and emergency scenes. He regularly goes to the gym, undergoes physical therapy and keeps a healthy diet. He wants to make sure he is physically fit for his drama role. Kim Min Jae said that his role model from the show is Han Suk Kyu and expressed that he wanted to be like him someday. Han Suk Kyu's kind heart, humor, leadership, and great acting skills inspired him a lot. That's why he is also working hard so that someday he can become a respected actor like Han Suk Kyu.
