Kim Hye Yoon as Eun Dan Oh in the drama "Extraordinary you" is the exact opposite of her character as Kang Ye Seo in the drama "Sky Castle". She talks about preparing for the new role in "Extraordinary You" the actress stated that it was not easy to let go of her last character in "Sky Castle" Ye Seo.
The actress claimed that both characters have different personalities she was a bit worried that when portraying Eun Dan-Oh she might show a little bit of Ye Seo since she portrayed this character of a while. She claimed that it was not easy for her to let of the mannerism of Ye Seo that she played in "Sky Castle". This was Kim Hye Yoon's first role that her romance if fulfilled. She gave out a lot of time and effort because she wanted to prove that she can do a different way from her past.
Different from her last drama, "Extraordinary You" is a carefree one. Kim Hye Yoon said that the ambiance is very different. When something not good happens the first thought that Ye Seo would say is "what would I do?" on the other hand Eun Dan Oh is a character that thinks more about other people.
Since "Extraordinary You" scenes are more shot in a school environment, it is considered a school drama. This is mostly compared to the same genre of the successful and popular "Boys over Flowers" and "Heirs" by the actor Lee min Ho.

The role of Eun Dan-O is a student in a respected high school. But in this drama, the lead star is suffering from an illness which is heart disease. She is born in a rich and wealthy family and has gotten engaged at an early young age. Plus her fiancé Baek Kyung which role is played by Lee Jae-Wook goes to the same school as her. It is evident that she likes him a lot but he doesn't like her back.
All of a sudden, Eun Dan-O suffered from short term memory loss and acquired the ability to see what will happen in the near future. Bewildered with what happening to her, Jinmiche from the school cafeteria has informed Eun Dan-O that she is now a character in the comic titled "Secret" like everyone else. She then discovered that she is not even the main character in the comic the just the supporting extra character and doesn't have much time to live.
Eun Dan-O did not waste any time and decided to make her own fate. She pursued to find her own first love and did not give the decision to the comic writer. One day she falls down the stairs and ended up falling and touching the back of another student. Then she suddenly felt a weird feeling, her heart starts to beat fast and flutter. She finds the student that made her heart race it was her classmate. He is a nameless character in the comic. They became close and Eun Dan-O gave him a name which is "Ha Roo". Eun Dan Oh is said to like Baek Kyung who is played by the actor Lee Je-Wook in the "stage" and Ha Roo played by the actor Ro Woon in the "shadow".
When she was asked about which personality of the character from her two leading men she likes better, she replied that none of them is her type. She then continued describing the two characters. She said that Ha Roo is kind of frustrating because he has a quiet personality. There were times that the ambiance was so gloomy that they did not have energy then she felt sorry for her character but she found herself frustrated after Ha Roo Found his ego.
Shen then added that Baek Kyung is too angry. It is like whenever he finds her he gets angry all of a sudden and then he leaves.
