In MBN's "Modern Family," which aired at 11 pm on December 27th, Mina and Philip's family had a gathering for Christmas. It was a heartwarming episode as they try to solve misunderstandings with Philip's mother, Yoo Geum Ran.

Earlier, Yoo Geum Ran expressed sorrow because Mina did not come to the last Thanksgiving gathering, and did not contact her for more than three months. During the broadcast, Mina and Yoo Geum Ran will finally have a deep conversation, but there another possibility of conflict arise.

On the 27th, they put out an awkward and uncomfortable atmosphere and soon, Yoo Geum Ran said furiously, "I truly don't understand you guys! If your husband and mother-in-law are not well together, is it not possible that the daughter-in-law goes in the middle, how can you not contact me for such a long time?" Also, she always sees their social media posts living a happy life and she felt sad because she was left behind.

Mina said, "I sent a text message, but you didn't give me an answer. It gave me the thought that you might dislike me." As the conflict broke out, Philip shed tears after saying, "I told her not to contact you."

As Philip was crying, he stated, "You know we can't show our hardship on social media? I'm also struggling with my own life." He couldn't continue speaking as tears keep falling down his face.

The production team mentioned, "as this married couple age difference is 17 years, this has lead them to have difficult times that people might not recognize, and they couldn't easily reveal this to family members. From this family gathering, there will be a good and sound conversation, and all the accumulated misunderstanding and conflict will be solved, hence please continue to stay tuned and watch the program."
