In KBS Cool FM's "Kang Han Na's Volume Up", Actor Lee Yi Kyung recently showed up as a guest at the show.
On the episode released of the show this February 3 broadcast, actor Lee Yi Kyung shared some of his experience on his failures on a lot of auditions that he attended. He shared comparing to actress Han Na, as an actress, he is sure that Han Na understands that he would attend auditions. He would attend so many auditions and fail them every time.
There was also a time when he even went to an audition wearing a traditional Korean garment called a min bok he was using public transportation at that time and would just go to his auditions like that. He did not feel embarrassed to be seen by other people in that situation.
He then continued that joining a production for his really something to be thankful for. He is sure that everyone feels very lucky like they have won a lottery ticket. And each one of them wants to do well. He added that he thinks that experiencing those past hardships made him a better person than he is now.
Actor Lee Yi Kyung expressed his gratefulness and gave thanks to his senior actors who gave him strength during difficult and hard times. Sharing some of the unforgettable advice he received, he said that in the past there was one senior that told him "Flowers don't just bloom in spring" at first we did not get it but then after some time he eventually began to understand it.
Plus, when he was busy attending many auditions, he must have looked rushed and nervous. Then actor Choi Daniel told him "I'm not entirely sure but even Choi Min Sik and Song Kang Ho must feel nervous too. You don't have to feel so nervous" those words gave him strength and Lee Yi Kyung was thankful.
The show's DJ Kang Han Na later added a question to the actor; she asked what role the actor plays at karaoke. He then gave his answer expressing that he is the type who follows the mood well. If they sing ballads he also starts with a ballad genre. And if they sing exciting songs, he shows them how exciting he can get. Then he added that if he sees someone sitting quietly without singing at all, we will begin to take notice of them.
This mid-February of the year 2020, Actor Lee Yi Kyung is also set to release his trot song. A trot song is a genre of Korean popular music it is commonly noticed for its use of repetitive rhythm and vocal inflections.
Actor Lee Yi Kyung commented that he is not singing because he is good at it. He explained that it is the same as people say, 'Being happy doesn't make you smile, smiling makes you happy. The actor is also asking us to please listen to it comfortably without analyzing it.
