The SBS upcoming drama titled "Convenience Store Saet Byul" centers on the story of a convenience store owner named Choi Dae Hyun portrayed by Actor Ji Chang Wook and the part-time employee of the said convenience store Jung Saet Byul portrayed by Kim Yoo Jung. The story of this drama is based on a famous webtoon of the same title.
Choi Dae-Hyun meets a group of female high school students, including Jung Saet-Byeol. These highschool girls look like some kind of troublemakers. Jung Saet Byul asked Choi Dae-Hyun to do a favor for them and that is to buy some cigarettes at a convenience store. Dae-Hyun did what Jung Saet Byul asked and bought the cigarettes and she gets his cellphone number but Choi Dae-Hyun never got a call from her.
Years have passed and Choi Dae-Hyun at the age of 33 is an owner of a convenience store while Jung Saet-Byeol enters his store and she soon starts to work there as a part-timer. She is a changed woman and she is no longer a troublemaker. Jung Saet-Byeol is currently a university student and is guided by her strong morals.
The drama will be directed by Lee Myung Woo, who is also the producing director (PD) of the 2019 drama hit "The Fiery Priest," which was previously SBS's first Friday-Saturday drama.
The fans and viewers have been highly expecting this drama ever since Ji Chang Wook and Kim Yoo Jung were confirmed to take on the two lead roles. As of the moment, LABOUM's Solbin is also in talks be part of the drama's cast playing the role of Jung Eun Byul, Jung Saet Byul's younger sister.
The production team of this upcoming drama expressed that the actors and producer, equipped with their acting skills and ability to create successful works, have met to create the perfect match. The drama is being set in the convenience store, which we can easily adapt to our day to day lives.
The producers also added stating that this drama is like a real-life romance story of the youth that will unfold. The drama team is asking to please show lots of excitement and interest in "Convenience Store Saet Byul" until the well-made drama comes to your TV screen.
The upcoming drama 'Convenience Store Saet Byul' will be produced by TAEWON Entertainment, which is also the producers of the films "Battle of Incheon" and "The Battle of Jangsari" and the dramas "Iris" and "Criminal Minds."
