From the start and early stage, the government of Korea has set key principles to fight and prevent the Covid-19 that is to Be quick, transparent and pre-emptive. Not like the other countries where only patients showing symptoms should have been tested, the country of Korea chose to test everyone who has been in close contact with those who have confirmed cases.
Instead of waiting for some patients to come in and volunteer to be tested, they pursued and tracked down those possible suspected patients to stop the spread of the virus within the community. The transparent catchall way that is being supported by the outstanding diagnostic capacity has practically indicated Korea as one of the most affected countries. As of March 11, Korea has a lot of confirmed cases of the said virus amounting to 7,755. This result came out since having tested 214,640 cases. This is also the main reason behind the low mortality rate of 0.77 percent, which is far below the 3.4 percent global average.
The Korean government is certain that with their approach, characterized by full transparency, pre-emption, and prevention, is working. On the process of the fight for the life and health of the Korean people, they hope that the "Korea model" or "Korean Celebrity" would use their power to inform others in the shared battle against Covid-19.
