A new film, titled "The Girl on the Bulldozer," is set to hit our screens soon, and will be helmed by Park Lee-woong.

But before anything else, let's get to know the lead female character Kim Hye Yoon first, who we bet many of you are aware of.

Kim Hye Yoon started in the entertainment industry in 2013. Her various supporting roles allowed her to meet directors and actors that paved her way to her current stature. From the year 2013 until 2018, she did supporting or guest roles in 26 Korean dramas and six movies. A few of her notable drama series are "Samsaengi," "Bad Guys," and "Sky Castle."

The actress' breakthrough was in the 2019 fantasy-drama "Extraordinary You" where she played the lead female character. The fantasy movie is based on the hit Daum webtoon. Because of her extraordinary performance in the hit series, Kim Hye Yoon won an Excellence Actress at MBC for the said show. Prior to this, she also gained recognition in the drama series "Sky Castle" as the Best New Actress in 55th Baeksang Arts Awards.

Most of Kim Hye Yoon's gigs in 2015 were supporting roles. In the same year, she received a scholarship from Konkuk University. She chose to pursue and finish education while working part-time in television projects. Her sacrifice with her busy schedule gave her big rewards as she completed her Major in Film Arts studies and graduated last February 2019. Soon after, she auditioned in a different television series and acquired major roles.

The actress made good friends in the industry with actress Kim Hye Joon and Jung Hye Sung. A touching message from her friend of 10 years was shared on her Instagram, saying that she admires Kim Hye Yoon's dedication to her studies and career.

The letter starts with, "I'm so proud of my friend, Hye Yoon."

Kim Hye Yoon's friend praised her in the message and said she's been a "good influence" to her.

"Your dream started off as a small interest but grew into a big goal. In order to pursue your dreams, you studied really hard to get good grades in school, and as I watched you researched, practiced, and learned. You were a good influence on me as we prepared to enter college. When you liked something or wanted to be good at something, you tried 100 times harder," the actress' friend wrote.

"When I saw your first project, I half-jokingly asked you to give me an autograph, and that probably makes me the first person to ever receive an autograph from you. After seeing your other projects, big or small, I said these footage would one day circulate when you become famous, and that's exactly what's happening right now," she went on.

Kim Hye Yoon's friend further narrated that she did part-time works while attending the university at the same time.

"You even worked part-time while going to school, and you didn't even go on a trip abroad during college years in order to wait for your next opportunity, and I think those efforts are finally starting to make you shine. Even after eating lots of food at night, you went swimming and exercised the morning after, and that impressed me so much that I reflected upon myself," she said.

"When I look at you, I learn and feel a lot! You're a really admirable person and a good friend. A friend that just sees me for who I am regardless of what other people think.Your honest and upright ways are naturally being portrayed in your works and interviews. I'll always be that kind of friend to you, too. I hope more and more people start recognizing you for the actress you are! You're the best! That's right, everyone. My friend is the best," she concluded.

"The Girl on the Bulldozer" will start filming in May of 2020. The story revolves around a teenager who lost her father in an accident. She is not satisfied with the reports. In her quest for justice, she plans to find answers by her search of the murderer.
