Upcoming KBS 2 drama "Born Again," which will run on Mondays and Tuesdays, unveiled its first teaser video.
"Born Again" tells the story of two men and a woman who became involved in one another's life back in the 1980s. Their fates re-intertwined in the present day through reincarnation.
Back in the day, Kong Ji-Cheol (portrayed by Chang Ki-Yong) did not want to become a bad person like his father. Now, Cheon Jong-Beom, still portrayed by the actor, is a bright medical student.
Also in the 80s, Jung Ha-Eun (Jin Se-Yun) was suffering from a condition called dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM), a heart condition in which the heart's ability to pump blood becomes lower, since the heart's main pumping chamber, the left ventricle, is enlarged and also weak. She owned a bookstore called the "Old Future."
In the present day, she is Jung Sa-Bin, an archaeologist. She takes care of the remains she unearth and tries to uncover the secrets behind them.
Cha Hyeong-Bin, played by Lee Soo-Hyuk, was a detective back in the 80s and was devoted to the person he loved. Then, he reincarnated in the present day as Kim Soo-Hyeok, a prosecutor..
This upcoming new drama is scheduled to premiere on April 20 at 10 p.m. KST. "Born Again" will be a mystery melodrama that will tell the story of three people whose lives are connected across two lifespans, the past and the present.
In the first video teaser, a man is taking a walk through a snowy white field together with Jin Se Yeon smiling warmly. Thirty years later, Chang Ki-Yong and Lee Soo Hyuk are seen in separate locations.
The trailer augmented the curiosity when the three stars can be heard saying that "eveyone has their own fateful timing and when that moment arrives, someone discovers her and he discovers them." They were reciting one sentence from the script, and their respective lines reflect on how the characters' stories will be interconnected.
The production crew said that Chang Ki-Yong, Jin Se Yeon and Lee Soo Hyuk have amazing chemistry on the set. The staff members are also asking to anticipate the story.
