On April 21, a representative from Management Soop, the agency of Gong Yoo, gave their confirmation to media outlets that the actor is taking into consideration a project offered to star in a new Netflix original K-drama, titled "Ocean of Silence."
Also known as "The Sea of Silence," the upcoming series received plenty of attention earlier when actor Jung Woo Sung joined the production not only as part of its cast but also as the film's producer. This drama will feature the story of the future where the earth becomes an uninhabited land, and a group of researchers is assigned to go to an abandoned moon so that they can get a sample of an unknown substance for analysis.
The Netflix series "Kingdom" actress Bae Doo Na is also rumored to be part of the cast as a member of the moon exploration team. And if Gong Yoo accepts his offer, then he'll portray the character of the moon exploration team's leader at the same time a trained soldier named Yoon Jae.
