Prince Chun Jung is a young and intelligent son of the governor of Ganghwa Island. Bong Ryun likes him as he shines and has a kind heart.
Prince In Gyu is one of the sons of the elite family. He has hidden admiration of Bong Ryun, but it never progresses. His arrogance and deceitful behavior flow in his face that Bong Ryun tends to despise him. In Gyu tied Bong Ryun and made her as the target by his arrow. He was not as disrespectful to his request to join him in his activity. Chun Jung saw the incident and rescued Bong Ryun.
Later that night, the young hunters went to the forest to capture a tailed fox. Bong Ryun was in the woods to get rare herbal plants for her mother. Chun Jung led the group and almost died as he fell off a cliff, but In Gyu abandoned him and pretended to get help. Bong Ryun, in hiding, saw what happened. She rescued and saved Chun Jung's life. Since then, they became good friends.
Chun Jung enjoyed playing the drum and loves music. Bong Ryun was happy to hear about it as she enjoys dancing. They began to practice their talents and enjoy each other's company. And as they spend more time together, their feelings for each other grow.
In Gyu, in his bitterness and jealousy to the couple, set a plan to destroy Bong Ryun's mother as a Shaman. He reported to the Minister of Finance and accused Bong Ryun's mother of planting cursed spells on the minister. They captured Ban Dal and punished her in front of the minister and Bong Ryun. In her quest to protect her mother, she divulged her power, and she was captured.
Bong Ryun proved her power to Sir Byung Woon (Minister) as he survived his death before midnight. Since then, Bong Ryun never saw her mother again, and she became a prisoner of Byung Woon. He kept her and used Bong Ryun's gift as he works for the King.
Chun Jung waited for Bong Ryun in their meeting place, but she didn't show up. Byung Woon took her to another country as part of his entourage. In Ban Dal's quest to find her daughter, she sought help from King Cheol Jong. She confessed that Byong Run is his illegitimate child when he was still living in Ganghwa. The King acknowledged that he did sleep with Ban Dal when he was still living as one of the noblemen. However, the queen decided to take Bong Ryun as part of the royal family, and Ban Dal will not be able to see her again.
Five years later, Chun Jung still yearned for Bong Ryun. He helped his father's command as the governor of Ganghwa Island. Byung Woon visited Ganghwa island together with Bong Ryun. The King decided to let Bong Ryun marry the governor's son to unite their power together.
Chun Jung met Bong Ryun unexpectedly as they checked inside the cargo vessel, which transports goods to neighboring countries. As he saw Bong Ryun's face, he felt relieved to see her once again.
He abducted Bong Ryun from Byung Woon's entourage and hid her in his house. Bong Ryun is in curse spell that she tends to forget about her past. She did not recognize Chun Jung and knew nothing about their happy memories together. His quest now is to treat Bong Ryun and make her reminisce.
