The King: Eternal Monarch actor Woo Do Hwan is reportedly reviewing a role for OCN's upcoming drama. On June 10, a representative from OCN revealed that Woo Do Hwan may be playing one of the lead roles, Kyu Tae, for the station's new drama entitled "Hero."
On the other hand, Key East, Woo Do Hwan's agency released a statment clarifying the reports. They said that the actor is still reviewing the offer from the proposed project and nothing is sure yet.
Hero is a drama about people who believe that the justice system is run by biased and powerful individuals. They stand by the notion that justice is no longer given to those who deserve it; what's worse, the good people are being treated like criminals.
If Woo Do Hwan will accept OCN's offer as one of the lead characters of the series, he'll be playing Oh Kyu Tae. In the drama, Oh Kyu Tae starts of as an aspiring amateur boxer in high school. However, due to his brother's mysterious suicide, he stopped being a boxer and eventually became a promising detective and prosecutor.
Yet, due to another unexpected circumstance, he lost his job. He was forced to resign from prosecution and his license as a lawyer got suspended for the next 10 years.
Meanwhile, "Hero" is penned by the famous writer Park Hee Gang, who is also the author of The Ice. The drama will be produced by Daydream Entertainment.
On other news, Woo Do Hwan's current project The King: Eternal Monarch which can be viewed in Netflix is set to air its final episode this coming June 12th.
