He left JYP Entertainment and started his own entertainment company, J. Tune Entertainment (formerly known as Rainy Entertainment). Its subsidiary, J. Tune Camp, launched MBLAQ, an all-boy group in 2009, and Rain actively participated in the group's music by either composing, writing, producing, or choreographing dance routines. J. Tune Entertainment eventually merged with JYP Entertainment as the largest shareholder.

Additionally, the superstar is also doing humanitarian work. Plus, amidst the pandemic, he participated in dance challenges and uploaded fashioned-themed clips in Tiktok and entertained fans stuck at their homes.
