On July 6, Woo Do Hwan bids farewell as he proceeded to enlist in the military. Not even His Majesty can stop and change this course of the universe!

It's been two weeks since he announced his plans of serving in the army. After "The King: Eternal Monarch" wrapped up, and new wave of fans discovered Woo Do Hwan, viewers instantly looked forward to his next acting project. As a matter of fact, talks circulated that he was offered to star in a new drama.

But, you know, life doesn't go our way at times. On June 24, he dropped the heartbreaking news that he would fulfill his mandatory service as a Korean male citizen.

Thankfully, prior to the official date of his enlistment, Woo Do Hwan left a handwritten letter to fans and made updates on his SNS - the pre-enlistment things that we truly wouldn't want to miss. He also recently uploaded funny photos on his Instagram when he was about to shave his hair.

By Korean law, the enlistment dates are decided months and with a process, considering as well that male citizens should perform compulsory military enlistment not beyond 28 years old.

Woo Do Hwan will celebrate his 28th birthday this coming July 12, and after he official took the start of his sabbatical, he left a video to greet his beloved fans!

After his statement last June 24, his good friends never failed to give Woo Do Hwan their support. He met with his friends, actors Jang Ki Yong and Kim Kyung Nam, and shared their photo through their IG accounts.

Kim Kyung Nam played the character as detective Shin Jae in "The King: Eternal Monarch," while Jang Ki Yong is one of his batchmates of the "92-liner" actors who rose to popularity around the same time.

The latest post was from his co-star, "The King" Lee Min Ho. He shared an affectionate photo of him and Woo Do Hwan in a brotherly hug. In the caption, as he was touching Woo Do Hwan bald head, he wrote, "Yeong, I hope that now you can become the best shooter in the field." Jo Yeong is the name of Woo Do Hwan's bodyguard character in the drama.

In June, a few days after the drama ended, Woo Do Hwan went to Jeju Island together with Lee Min Ho and enjoyed the beach with his other friends.

On the day of his departure on July 6, no grand event took place in line with the health and safety protocols due to the pandemic. Woo Do Hwan headed to Hwacheon, Gangwon Province where he joins the 15th Infantry Division.

His car passes by where the media waited. He stopped for a few minutes then waved goodbye to his fans and the press. He smiled and gave a positive aura to everyone to remember until his safe return.

No one can match Woo Do Hwan's remarkable dual roles in "The King: Eternal Monarch." He stole our hearts and was named as scene-stealer because, with his epic performance, the plot gets even better.

He plays Jo Yeong with stern face and sleek hair, and his limited movements are what he uses to communicate most of the timme. His counterpart is Eun Seub, who sports a curly hair, has a relaxed and jolly persona, and is a loving brother.

What is your most favorite scene that makes you smile and miss Woo Do Hwan more?
