The Sci-Fi series "SF8" will follow a story about the lives of individuals who long for an ideal society through innovative progressions. It's a unique Korean science fiction that includes a variety of subjects such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual reality (VR), robots, gaming, dream, imagination, superpowers, and calamities.
The new Sci-Fi series is directed by eight directors from the DGK. "DGK," or also known as the Directors Guild of Korea, represent directors and screenwriters to protect their rights on behalf of legal counseling, dispute resolution, policy discussions for the current field issues. Each episode of the series is said to have a run-time of 40 minutes.
The actress Kim Bo Ra will play the role of Joan and alongside her is actress Choi Sung Eun who will be playing the role of EO in "Joan's Galaxy," which is a queer story about people who live in a world in which they are divided into two categories or otherwise known as fractions.
People who belong in the "C" category are people who can afford the vaccine and can live up to 100 years, while people who belong in the "N" category are less fortunate people who cannot afford the cure and can only live up to 30 years.
Growing as a "C" her whole life, a 26-year-old college student named EO learns that she's an "N." This makes her curious as to how people who are categorized as "N" live their lives. This piqued her interest with a girl in school named Joan, who is an "N."
Recently, on the 6th of August, Kim Bo Ra's original soundtrack with the title "Breath of Stars" was released for the new Sci-Fi "SF8." The lyrics of her song emphasized an atmosphere of freedom and unhappiness that people usually feel in their 30s. In the show, "Breath of Stars" will also be sung by Joan.
In the music video, "Breath of Stars" is sung by Kim Bo Ra while she plays her character, Joan. It depicts a sad story about two young women who fall in love with each other despite them both having to live different lives as a "C" and an "N."
The music complements the variety of emotions both of them feel, especially the bliss and the trials they experienced in the story.
