89 Mansion is a two-story café located along the Garosu-gil street in Seoul, which officially opened its doors to customers just in 2017.The best part about visiting the café is that you will be able to occasionally see the K-drama superstar in the flesh, helping out by taking orders and handling the cash register himself! Needless to say, 89 Mansion is on the top of every K-drama avid fan's bucket list of "to visit" spots in South Korea. And if you were able to drop by and experience being inside at Lee Jong Suk's famed café in the past three years, well then, LUCKY YOU!
For the rest of Lee Jong Suk's fans who have yet to mark check on this place on your travel bucket list, sad to say that you only have the chance to visit until mid September of this year. And given the present travel restrictions and struggles brought by the pandemic, it seems that it is impossible for some to have a last trip visit there.
As per their instagram account with username @cafe.89mansion, the café declared that the business will sadly be closing down soon with the specific date on September 14, in which most fans are aware that it is also Lee Jong Suk's birthday. The caption also stated, "89 Mansion is about to ends its short journey on September 14."
89 Mansion café is one business among many that have been greatly affected by the current pandemic's wrath. Also in the post, the statement divulged that the store wasn't able to function in their normal operations since the COVID-19 outbreak and they have been gravely affected by it.
As a normal reaction to the revelation, fans flocked to their instagram account and flooded them with comments of sadness over the unfortunate news. Some netizens commented the following:
