These 7 K-Dramas Are on Halt Due to COVID-19

The entertainment industry has been washed over by shock after three actors were diagnosed with coronavirus.

Seo Sung Jong felt the symptoms at the beginning then he was tested positive. After contact tracing, Heo Dong Won and Kim Won Hae's results were positive. All three actors met on the set of the musical play "Jjambbong".

As a result, 15 out of 39 cast members of the play tested positive. Since actors and staff basically work on multiple productions, the chain of spreading the virus affected several shows and dramas.

Seo Yi Sook had contact with Heo Dong Won and had her testing yesterday, and fortunately, the results were negative.

As the entertainment industry tries to stop the domino effect of the virus, TV shows and drama have been forced to suspend production.

JTBC's "Private Lives"

"Private Lives" stars Girls Generation's Seohyun and Go Kyung Pyo, but it has suspended filming on the aftermath. A member of the production team was reported to have a positive diagnosis for coronavirus. Selected staff were sent out for testing for precautionary measures.

KBS2's "Dol Dol Sol Sol La La Sol"

Starring Go Ara and Lee Jae Wook, the drama halted filming as actor Heo Dong Won tested positive and had contact with other staff. Go Ara yesterday went to get tested yesterday but is still waiting for the result.

tvN's "Start-Up"

The show got suspended after actress Seo Yi Sook had been in past contact with Heo Dong Won. Both actors are also in the same set together while filming "Dol Dol Sol Sol La La Sol". Today, Seo Yi Sook's result and her manager's were negative.

JTBC's "Run On"

Starring Im Si Wan, Shin Se Kyung, and Girls Generation's Sooyoung, the show halted filming. Selected staff who worked on another set where a positive case was identified has been tested. They are awaiting their results before they all resume.

KBS's "To All The Guys Who Loved Me"

Starring Hwang Jung Eum and Yoon Hyun Min, the show left two more episodes to its finale put on halt after actor Seo Sung Jong got infected with the virus. Several staff in contact with the actor were sent to testing and awaiting for results.

JTBC's "Just Comedy"

The comedy program was forced to suspend after one of their cast members Oh Man Seok was in past contact with Heo Dong Won. He was sent to testing and waiting for the results. For precautionary protocol the show cancelled and monitored their crew.

JTBC's "More Than Friends"

Starring Ong Seong Wu, Shin Ye Eun, and Kim Dong Jun, the show was forced to stop. It was identified that actress Kim Hee Jung was in past contact with Kim Won Hae resulting in her undergoing testing as well.
