Lieutenant Geun Lee, who emerged as an entertainment blue chip through the YouTube content "Fake Man," has finally addressed the various controversies that have arisen recently, revealing his will to break through.
Lieutenant Geun Lee spoke up on his YouTube channel in the early morning of the 13th of October 2020, saying, "I am very sorry to be posting this kind of unpleasant thing."
When he first claimed that an entertainment content YouTuber falsely described an UN-related career, he said, "Everything raised in my career and academic background, including the United Nations, is different from the facts. It is evidence and pride in my hard work. There's never been a single time, and there's no other way to profit by cheating."
Lieutenant Geun Lee then admitted to the allegations that he was fined for sexual harassment in public places and clubs in 2018. He said, "In 2018, I was punished for harassment in public places and clubs, but I was prosecuted for grabbing a woman's ass at the time."
However, he said, "At the time, the woman's consistent statement was recognized as evidence and was convicted, but he was the woman's boyfriend, one of the witnesses in the judgment." He testified that he had not witnessed it in person, but that he had guessed from the woman's reaction. "There were three CCTVs at the time, but there was evidence that they were not harassed, and it was a physically impossible situation. However, only the victim's consistent statement became the only evidence, and the judgment was made." He reaffirmed, "I had to obey the judgment of the law, but in the light of my own conscience, I felt absolutely unfair and unacceptable, unfortunate and terrible."
"I realize how dangerous it is to be famous," added Lieutenant Geun.
Lieutenant Geun Lee, a former military consultant and YouTuber from the Naval Special Warfare Corps (UDT/SEAL), became famous as a training instructor in "Fake Man." Having created buzzwords such as "Do you have a personality problem?" and "○○ is individualism," he is gaining popularity recently by appearing in various entertainment shows, including his recent appearance in Jessi's Show interview.
At the same time, however, he struggles with the debt controversy, which broke out about a week ago, false career allegations, and a history of sexual harassment punishment. The debt controversy was initially denied, but eventually settled by apologizing and returning the 2 million won owed to the creditor, but other controversies are continuing to emerge one after another.
In response, Lieutenant Geun Lee said, "I have lived with pride that I have overcome numerous difficulties and pains in any situation, but I feel that this is a different difficulty." He continued by saying, "I hope that the evidence collection and one-sided opinions based on the already woven frame will not be exposed as if they were just true or in a non-traditional way."
Meanwhile, the private military strategy consulting company MUSAT, where he worked, drew a line saying, "Captain Lee Geun voluntarily resigned as of August 1st."
