"Secret Royal Inspector" main cast Kim Myung Soo, Kwon Nara, And Lee Yi Kyung pose for the drama's main poster!
KBS's upcoming historical series "Secret Royal Inspector" is a comic mystery-themed drama that takes place in the Joseon era. The drama will star actor Kim Myung Soo portraying the lead role as Sung Yi Kyum. He once topped the state examination and was given a job at Hongmungwan (administrative and research department). He doesn't have a dream or goal in life and lives by the moment. One day, he was caught doing an illegal act and was given a punishment, and it was to work as a secret royal inspector.
Secret royal inspectors were a temporary position unique to the Joseon Dynasty. They are considered as the eyes and ears of the king as they go undercover and are sent to local provinces to monitor government officials and takedown corruption, and deliver justice as well.
Moving forward, another lead star in the drama is actress Kwon Nara who stars as Hong Da In, a damo (a woman who works for a Joseon government office), she disguises as a gisaeng (a courtesan trained to entertain people through music and the arts). Lastly, to finish the main cast, Lee Yi Kyung stars as Park Choon Sam the most trusted right-hand man of Sung Yi Kyum.
On Dec. 8, the upcoming drama released its main poster featuring its main casts, Kim Myung Soo, Kwon Nara, and Lee Yi Kyung. Three of them immerse in their respective characters and pose sitting around a large gold royal inspector badge. They are wearing their costumes perfectly and the poster gives us the idea that they have assembled to work hand in hand in order to take down corruption and fight in the name of justice.
In the newly released poster, Kim Myung Soo transformed into his character as Sung Yi Kyum. He sits on a chair with his body relaxed and comfortable as he smiles widely. The actor is expected to portray his character flawlessly as a clumsy but passionate man who takes on the journey to find growth and maturity.
Meanwhile, Lee Yi Kyung automatically transforms into his character as Park Choon Sam, and we can all look forward to his big contribution in taking down bad guys! His character is a helpful and cheerful man.
Last but not the least, Kwon Nara transforms into Hong Da In. She is seen wearing an attractive and glamorous costume of a gisaeng. Her expression will make us wonder what runs on her mind, which is a perfect trait of an undercover agent.
The "Secret Royal Inspector" production team expressed that in the age of uncertainties and chaos, these three young heroes will awkwardly but bravely do whatever it takes to achieve justice. They may be helping others but in the process, they will also help themselves grow through this adventurous journey.
The drama's production team is hoping that the viewers can relate to the adventures of the secret royal inspectors and somehow look back on the old stories that taught us the value of justice during childhood.
