After airing its pilot episode on Nov. 28, the drama "The Uncanny Counter" is continuously breaking its own rating records.
On their 6th episode which was aired on Dec. 13, the drama managed to achieve a 7.654 percent nationwide rating. It has become a new record for the drama as they surpassed their own rating of 6.724 percent from their fourth episode which aired on Dec. 6.
They started from a 2.702 percent rating on their pilot episode and is continuously breaking their own ratings with every new episode. They even set a record for surpassing the 7.1 percent rating of the popular singing contest show "The Voice 2." It also became the highest rating drama in the history of OCN.
"The Uncanny Counter" is based on a webtoon series that tells the story of demon hunters called "Counter" who went down to earth and disguised themselves as workers at a noodle restaurant to hunt down and capture evil spirits. The story unfolds an interesting plot as each character have their own superpowers and charms. They may be different from each other, but they all have the same goal: to hunt the bad spirits.
Actor Jo Byeong Gyu is playing So Moon, the youngest member of "Counter." His power is his physical strength. He was involved in a car accident during his childhood years. His parents also died during the incident, and So Moon is the only survivor, but due to the accident, his left leg was permanently injured. Jo Byeong Gyu is also gaining attention for his portrayal. He has captured the hearts and emotions of the viewers from the previous episodes.
Kim Sejeong is playing the character of Do Ha Na. Her power is that she can sense any evil spirits, even from afar. Every time she touches someone, she could read their minds. Kim Sejeong's portrayal in the drama is also on point. Her bright yet strong persona, as Do Ha Na, is a must-watch, the viewers are looking forward to her character, and her acting skills are getting better.
The character of Ga Mo Tak, who is a former police officer, is played by actor Yoo Joon Sang. Actress Yeom Hye Ran takes Chu Mae Ok, the chef of the noodle restaurant who is also the anchor of the group "Counter."
Meanwhile, as their stories are continuously unfolding, the cast is also showing their strong acting skills through the drama. In the previous episode, it was shown that the mastermind behind the accident that happened to So Moon and his parents was Ji Cheong Shin (Lee Hong Nae). The revelation of Ji Cheong Shin's character made the viewers shocked. The good chemistry between the cast are also being enjoyed by the viewers, for they have a strong connection with each other so they amazingly blend their emotions well.
The new stills make the viewers more excited with what to look forward to in the upcoming episodes of the drama.
