tvN's new ongoing Wed-Thurs drama series "True Beauty" is the new talk of the town! Their Dec. 17 broadcast surprised many viewers when the drama had an unexpected little cross-over scene.
It was previously confirmed that "Extraordinary You" casts Lee Jae Wook and Kim Hye Yoon will have a cameo appearance in the drama to support the "True Beauty" PD (producing director) Kim Sang Hyub, who also directed "Extraordinary You."
The two stars portray the characters of Eun Dan Oh (Kim Hye Yoon) and Baek Kyung (Lee Jae Wook) in their previous drama. However, the duo didn't end up together. But for their their cameo appearance in "True Beauty," they will play the role of a couple.
Ahead of the episode where Kim Hye Yoon and Lee Jae Wook would make the cameo appearance, JTBC "Run On" released some stills showcasing the on-screen couple enjoying a date at the movie theater. They have bright and wide smiles on their faces, and of course, the viewers are anticipating their chemistry as a couple.
Warning! Spoilers will be mentioned below!
In this episode, the male lead Lee Su Ho (Cha Eun Woo) went to the movie house to spy on a blind date which involves the female lead Lim Joo Kyung (Moon Ga Young). When he was already inside the dark movie theater, Lee Su Ho mistook another couple for Lim Joo Kyung and her date, so he disturbed the couple's sweet moment. This scene somehow made us cringe but viewers were shocked to see that the couple was none other than the Dan Oh (Kim Hye Yoon) and Baek Kyung (Lee Jae Wook) couple from "Extraordinary You!"
What's more impressive is that the drama even incorporated the "Extraordinary You" universe for approximately 20 seconds as Dan Oh and Baek Kyung suddenly woke up from their fictional story world with the familiar "click" and Dan Oh goes off searching for Haru!
Meanwhile, here is a short synopsis of the ongoing drama "True Beauty:"
It is a remake of the famous webtoon of the same title.
