"The King Eternal Monarch" handsome leading man Lee Min Ho recently sat down for an interview and photoshoot for the latest issue of GQ Korea!
In the subsequent interview, Lee Min Ho discussed his global project Apple TV+'s "Pachinko" and his YouTube channel "leeminho film."
At first, the actor talked about his YouTube channel "leeminho film" and shared that he is the decision-maker when it comes to the theme and background music of the video. He is also hands-on when editing the video since he does almost 70 to 80 percent of the editing. Lee Min Ho expressed that he feels the happiness of working independently.
Then, they discussed his audition for the role of Hansu in "Pachinko." The actor was asked if it was an audition that guaranteed him the role: the actor responded that it was not guaranteed at all! It has been about a decade since he auditioned but the situation has changed from then. He only thought that it would be really embarrassing if he failed the audition and he was committed to getting the role so he worked hard getting ready for it.
The actor went on sharing that he was pressured about doing well in the auditions and he was very nervous and excited at the same time. He felt really happy when he got the part.
"Panchinko" is a drama remake of MinJin Lee's best-selling novel with the same title. It tells the story of four generations of a Korean immigrant family, their adventures that unfold across Korea, Japan, and the United States. Lee Min Ho is confirmed to star as Hansu who is a rich and powerful merchant with associations with organized crime.
Lee Min Ho has proven his undeniable talent in acting through his hit dramas such as "Boys Over Flowers," "Heirs," and "The King: Eternal Monarch." Fans are impressed with how he portrays his role as the "knight in shining armor," and he can continue to shine on top with familiar characters, but he isn't hesitant about making changes.
Lee Min Ho expressed that if the "knight in shining armor" is how they represent me, then he should continue to impress everyone until he becomes the emperor in shining armor.
The actor continued that he would stop pursuing that image after he reaches to peak of it and in "The King: Eternal Monarch," he thinks he reached it already and then wanted to make a change after that. He went on sharing that the right time came he met "Pachinko," and that determination became stronger and that's why he started his YouTube channel.
Lee Min Ho's drama global success established him as a top Hallyu star! He is famous in different countries, including Asia and western countries, most notably the U.S, France, Australia, Canada, Spain, and Italy.
