JTBC's upcoming thriller drama "Beyond Evil" has unveiled a sneak peek featuring Yeo Jin Goo and Shin Ha Kyun ahead of its premiere.
The television series "Beyond Evil" stars famous actors Shin Ha Kyun and Yeo Jin Goo, and it is a psychological thriller about two fearless men who will stop at nothing and even breaks the law to take down a serial killer. In their pursuit to uncover the identity of the murderer, they will constantly ask themselves, "Who is the real monster? Is it me? Is it you? Or is it us?" The two characters will devote themselves to their investigation and will follow everyone's hidden facets, and questions the innocence of the people involved in the case, including themselves.
Yeo Jin Goo and Shin Ha Kyun's character in "Beyond Evil"
Shin Ha Kyun stars as Lee Dong Sik, a former violent crimes detective who now works at the Manyang Police Substation located in a small city. He was once a capable detective but was demoted to doing all the tedious chores at the station. He learns to live a quiet life there. However, his life changes when he encounters once again the old serial killer case that stirred up his life 20 years ago.
One day he meets Detective Han Joo Won (Yeo Jin Goo), who was assigned to work at the same police substation. He is the new boss of Lee Dong Sik and is also assigned as his partner. Han Joo Won is a highly capable detective who comes from a prominent background. His father is a candidate for becoming the next chief at the National Police Agency. Though he may have a distinguished background, Han Joo Won harbors a hidden secret.

What is in the newly Released Teaser of "Beyond Evil"? Find out below!
The teaser makes us think about Han Joo Woo's hidden backstory. He's the highly capable detective who is skilled that transfers to a small city police station with a secret. As the new boss, Lee Dong Shik is forced to serve Han Joo Won though he is much younger than him.
Lee Dong Shik introduces himself and gives out his hand to Han Joo Won. However, he denies him a handshake expressing that he doesn't really like to make any physical contact with other people. This gives us the feeling that they will have a rough beginning in their complicated relationship.
Another scene depicts Han Joo Won discovering the mysterious past of Lee Dong Shik, as he was a suspect in two cases of murder and kidnapping. Lee Dong Shik provokes him by declaring that he killed the youngest daughter. Due to this, there is even more tension in their relationship, and it makes us even more curious about Lee Dong Shik's past.
Moving forward, the teaser also gives us the idea of the complicated and strained relationship between Han Joo Won and his father Han Ki Hwan (Choi Jin Ho). Nearing the end of the teaser, we have seen Han Joo Won running through a field of tall, thick grass, as his voiceover says, "Detective Lee Dong Shik, there's something I want to ask you."
