"Sisyphus: The Myth" episode 8 will feature Park Shin Hye and Cho Seung Woo's journey in finding 'Sigma'.

A Blast from the Past: How Simga (Kim Byung Chul) Planned Everything

Episode 8 starts with a flashback of Han Tae San (Heo Joon Seok) on the train tracks, and he discovers a man lying down with a briefcase by his side. The man seems to be unconscious and is holding a photo.

When Tae San checks the photo, he was shocked to see that it was him and his brother Han Tae Sul (Cho Seung Woo). The man got up, and Tae San tried to stop him but was distracted by the train, and they went on separate ways. This man is actually Sigma (Kim Byung Chul).

Sigma ends up on the street and attacks a man and takes his clothes. He tries to find a place to stay and unlocks the briefcase. He knows that he's in August 2001. He invests in stock prices and also horse racing.

Since he came from the future, he knows exactly the events that would happen next. He became wealthy in just a snap. Then he works with a stockbroker named Kim Dong Hyeon (Lee Jae Won) for his future stock investments. Then 9/11 happens in America, Sigma and Kim Dong Hyeon took advantage of this unfortunate event and instantly became very wealthy.

Sigma started his plan to get closer to Han Tae Sul by approaching Kim Han Young (Jeon Gook Hwan ), an IT investor. As they met, Sigma offered medicine to prolong the life of Han Young's sick wife in exchange for him to invest in Han Tae Sul's company.

Park Shin Hye & Cho Seung Woo Pursue Sigma

Fast Forward to the present day, Han Tae Sul is obsessed with finding Sigma and looks for it through his high-tech computer with face recognition. Kang Seo Hae (Park Shin Hye) opposes Han Tae Sul's plan of pursuing Sigma as she's greatly concerned about his safety.

She's well aware that if Han Tae Sul fails, there will be a bigger war that would cause everyone to die. Their conversation became a heated argument, and Kang Seo Hae tells him what is going to happen. Han Tae Sul is going to die on October 31. Then they were interrupted when the facial recognition machine beeps, and it has finally found a match for Sigma!

Han Tae Sul and Kang Seo Hae went into a building where they suspiciously thought Sigma drew his paintings based on angles and proximity. Han Tae Sul discovers a painting of a man pushing a boulder up the mountain as his eternal punishment. He immediately realizes what 'Sigma' really means, which is 'Sisyphus,' an eternal sinner in Greek mythology.

Then someone opens the door of the room and quickly closes it. It's Sigma, then Tae Sul and Kang Seo Hae tries to chase him. Kang Seo Hae was unfortunately hurt from the chase, so Tae Sul takes care of her and puts her to bed.

While Kang Seo Hae was recovering, Tae Sul looks at video footage of Seo Hae. The viewers were treated into the future of the post-dystopian world, where it takes us on a trip of Kang Seo Hae's life there.
