The ‘Penthouse 2’ Episode 12 Beats Season 1’s Highest Rating

The "Penthouse 2" maintains its supremacy as the leading drama with its surprising storyline and powerhouse cast.

The latest episode of the SBS hit drama achieved an impressive response from the audience as it nears the season finale.

In a recent report, "Penthouse 2" episode 12 continues to achieve its success with record-breaking viewership rating as it managed to exceed season 1's highest rating.

Based on Nielsen Korea, the suspense drama gained 22.9 percent and 29.2 percent average nationwide rating for its two parts.

With this, the recent episode outpaced season 1's final episode with a previous all-time high rating of 28.8 percent.

Aside from its unstoppable ratings, "Penthouse 2" is rumored to end the season with a special episode just like in season 1, while season 3 is set to debut mid of this year.

The "Penthouse 2" Rating Remains Unbeatable

Moreover, "Penthouse 2" remained the leading drama across the country while its contenders struggled to take the top spot as the most-watched evening program.

tvN's "Vincenzo" slightly dropped on the second place as it scored 9.3 percent average nationwide rating while JTBC's drama "Beyond Evil" landed an average rating of 4.3 percent.

On the other hand, OCN's "Times," who had just wrapped up its season finale, reached an average nationwide rating of 1.4 percent.

As for the latest KBS 2TV drama, the "Revolutionary Sisters" started out with a strong response from the viewers by garnering an average nationwide rating of 22.2 percent and 26.7 percent for its two parts.

The "Penthouse 2" Episode 12 Recap

With its nearing season finale, "Penthouse 2" gave the audience a shock of a lifetime as it uncovers the mystery behind the characters.

The latest episode started with Na Ae-Gyo (Lee Ji-Ah) finally revealing that she's, in fact, Shim Su-Ryun and on Logan Lee's side.

As for Oh Yoon-Hee (Eugene) and Cheon Seo-Jin (Kim So-Yeon), the Cheong Ah director and former prima donna tried to pursued Yoon-Hee team up with her to defeat Dan-Tae.

Unfortunately, Yoon-Hee refused and told her that she needs to come clean about her wrongdoings, including covering Ha Eun-Byeol's deed to Bae Ro-Na.

Surprisingly Seo-Jin confessed and revealed that her daughter harmed Ro-Na, but Joo Dan-Tae was also involved in the crime. During their conversation, she told Yoon-Hee that she thinks her husband killed Ron-Na and asked her to work alongside her to prove that it was Joo Dan-Tae's plan.

Bae Ro-Na and Joo Seok-Hoon's Emotional Reunion with Shim Su-Ryeon

Thinking that Bae Ro-Na was already dead, Joo Seok-Hoon was surprised to receive a phone call from her and instructed him to meet him in a park.

Sitting on a bench, Bae Ro-Na revealed that it was Joo Dan-Tae who tried to kill her.

Of course, Seok-Hoon was seemingly shocked and at the same time furious that his father was behind Ro-Na's death.

Interestingly, a familiar character showed up. As it turns out it was Su-Ryeon who saved Ro-Na from Joo Dan-Tae.

The mother and son reunion turned emotional after Seok-Hoon saw his birth mother. Both were surprised and embraced his mother tightly.
