KBS is reported to cease broadcasting new K-dramas every Wednesday and Thursday for about three months, after the conclusion of its new television series "Daebak Real Estate."
KBS Reportedly Not to Broadcast New Wednesday-Thursday Dramas Following "Daebaek Real Estate"
On April 16, Star News reported that KBS (Korean Broadcasting System) has decided to stop airing new drama series every Wednesday and Thursday for approximately three months, starting from mid-June to early September.

The Korean media outlet stated that the television network did not organize any new Wednesday-Thursday drama until mid-September. This means no drama series are lined up to be broadcast after the end of its new K-drama "Daebak Real Estate."
KBS 2TV's "Daebak Real Estate" has a total of 16 episodes, and the program is expected to end in early June. Following that, it will take about three months for a new drama to air via KBS.
Why Would KBS Stop from Broadcasting New Wednesday-Thursday K-Dramas?
Star News then said that this decision was made because of the broadcast of the Tokyo Olympics, which is scheduled to be held in Tokyo, Japan, in July. They added that KBS will continue to broadcast new dramas properly in the future and that the new Wednesday-Thursday K-dramas will be broadcast according to the schedule.

The media outlet went on to say that although KBS will not be airing any dramas during its three-month break, the network is considering organizing a new show that will be aired every Wednesday and Thursday at 9:30 p.m. KST. They said that it could be a new entertainment program or alternative show would be scheduled instead in consideration of certain situations like the Olympic broadcast.
In addition to this, KBS Drama Center is said to be planning on preparing measures to increase the quality and competitiveness of future K-dramas during the Wednesday and Thursday schedules. The new drama series to be aired after mid-September are currently being discussed.
KBS's New Drama "Daebak Real Estate" Premieres
Meanwhile, KBS 2TV's "Daebak Real Estate," also known as "Sell Your Haunted House," has officially aired its first episode on April 14 and its second episode on April 15. This television series tells the story of a real estate agent and a conman who joined forces to cast out ghosts and evil spirits from buildings where many people have died.

This new KBS drama stars Jang Nara as Hong Ji Ah, an exorcist who gets easily mad and the head of Daebak Real Estate. CNBLUE's Jung Yong Hwa is the male lead, and he plays Oh In Bum, a con artist who believes ghosts are not real, yet he pretends to be an expert in exorcism to earn a living.
For Part 1 of the first episode, "Daebak Real Estate" recorded 4.1 percent nationwide, according to Nielsen Korea, while Part 2 had 5.3 percent nationwide and 4.9 percent in Seoul.
As for Part 1 of the second episode, the KBS drama saw a slight decline, recording 3.7 percent nationwide. Meanwhile, Part 2 of Episode 2 had a little increase, recording 5.6 percent nationwide and 5.2 percent in Seoul.
