Professor Yang Believes that Seo Byeong Joo's Death was not Suicide

"Law School" episode 8 starts with the second trial of Professor Yang Jong Hoon (Kim Myung Min).

In front of the judges, he raised that the cause of Professor Seo Byeong Joo's (Ahn Nae Sang) death was not suicide, as pointed out by Seo Ji Ho (Lee David) but mentioned that it was a murder case.

This made confusion to the audience in the courtroom, given that this would only put him in a bad light since he is the primary suspect in the case.

Lee Man Ho Attends the Trial

After having Ji Ho stand in the court, Prosecutor Jin Hyeong Woo (Park Hyuk Kwon) called Lee Man Ho as his witness.

The prosecutor highlighted his alibi - his ankle bracelet and points out that his location can be tracked.

During the trial, Prosecutor Jin raised that Professor Yang also wore an ankle bracelet as a test and intentionally did not charge it, so his activities can't be located.

Prosecutor Jin's New Witness

Following his argument, the prosecutor then announced that he'd present a new witness but wants to keep her identity confidential.

This surprised Yang Jong Hoon, as well as his attorney, and wondered who and what would the new witness say to the court.

In the previous episode, both Kang Sol A (Ryu Hye Young) and Han Joon Hwi (Kim Bum) knew about Jeon Ye Seul's (Go Yoon Jung) messed up relationship.

Interestingly, "Law School" episode 8 revealed more about her abusive relationship with Go Young Chang (Lee Hwi Jong.)

He insisted that his girlfriend should testify to the court to pin the case to professor Yang.

Initially, Jeon Ye Seul refused to follow his instruction and mentioned that his personal grudge should not affect the case but caved in after Go Young Chang framed her with a videotape.

In the next scene, Kim Eun Sook (Lee Jung Eun) shared to Professor Yang that Jeon Ye Seul's boyfriend is Assembly Ko's son and might be using her to get the upper hand in the murder case.

During their study group session, the students spoke about the new witness and wondered who it was.

Jeon Ye Seul comes in and reveals it was her, making the group in complete shock; however, Kang Sol A doubts that she saw the incident. Kang Sol B ( Lee Soo Kyung ) interrupts the two and tells her she believes Professor Yang too much.

Jeon Ye Seul's Confession

"Law School" episode 8 also featured the third trial of Professor Yang, where Ye Seul stood as the new witness.

Prosecutor Jin starts by asking the witness if she saw someone putting a drug substance into Professor Seo's coffee, which she then confirmed.

Following a series of questions, it appears that she is having a hard time answering the question.

Jeon Ye Seul stands up and admits that she lied and can't take this anymore.

Seung-Jae furiously interrupts, but she tells the court that she is being framed by her boyfriend and apologizes to the professor and the court.
