Jo Jung Suk has recently made waves because of his exceptional performance in the highly-rated 'Hospital Playlist." Now fans are waiting to see him once more in the second season soon, dropping sometime in June.
Given how his name has been included in many highly successful dramas, it is interesting to find out his net worth so far. There is no doubt that this will go up even more.
Jo Jung Sook Net Worth 2021
Online sources have provided a range of figures on the actor's net worth so far, and the numbers seem to be between 1.5 million to 5.5 million. In 2020, the actor was said to have 1 to 5 million under his name. One can assume that this increase has to do with the success of the "Hospital Playlist."
But then, he is not a new actor either. Through the years, through solid acting and endorsements, he became a household name, and one of the actors often considered whenever there is a new project that would come up. He's now a father of one with equally popular Gummy and, therefore, more inspired to earn those big bucks.
But rumors had it that the actor was paid considerably less for his "Hospital Playlist" role.

For someone who played such an important role in the series, this certainly comes as a surprise.
Actor's Salary in 'Hospital Playlist' Lower Than Expected?
Turns out the rumors are not rumors. They are true, and what is even more shocking is that the actor himself requested that pay cut.
According to reports, the actor volunteered to take a pay cut on behalf of the tvN drama "Hospital Playlist." This was in 2020, when it was still quite a gamble on whether the drama will even do well.
As a media outlet explained, "Jo Jung Suk voluntarily reduced his appearance fee of 90 million won to 100 million won (approximately $73,800 to $82,000) per episode to 70 million won (approximately $57,400) per episode. He is placing significance on his participation in 'Hospital Playlist' itself."
Insiders from the now highly-rated show claimed that normally, the actor is given a premium salary because of his acting caliber. They claimed that per episode, the actor's fees would be around 90 million won to 100 million won per episode. That's around 90,000 USD to 100,000 USD when exchanged.
However, because of his trust in the producer-director Shin Won Ho and writer Lee Woo Jung, he made the suggestion of reducing his fees.
"This kind of actor is really rare, and he's becoming a great role model on set," the insiders even said.
They added that what Jo Jung Suk did is very rare in the industry, especially among those who are really popular and therefore can demand high pay. Even if the salary is reduced, it is apparent that he gave his all on this series.
Apart from "Hospital Playlist," he was shown in successful dramas such as
"The King 2 Hearts," "You Are the Best," "Oh My Ghostess," "Two Cops," and "Don't Dare to Dream."
His filmography is extensive too. He starred in the films "EXIT," "Intimate Strangers," "My Annoying Brother," among others.
To think he only debuted in 2004. Not even two decades in the industry, and he's already widely successful. It can be recalled that his first-ever project is the musical "The Nutcracker."
