Following his impressive role in tvN's K-drama, "Mine," Lee Hyun Wook is set to lead Netflix's "The Bride of Black."
In a new report cited by News1, the 35-year-old actor is confirmed to star in the upcoming mini-series, which is scheduled to start their filming soon.
This is written by Lee Geun Young, whose famous works include the 2018 SBS series "I'm a Mother, Too" and "My Mother is a Daughter-In-Law."
Moreover, previous reports also noted that the soon-to-be-released drama is set to air on JTBC with simultaneous streaming on Netflix.
Lee Hyun Wook to Work Alongside Kim Hee Sun in Netflix's "The Bride of Black"?
He will take on the role of the male protagonist opposite Kim Hee Sun, who is still in talks to appear in the new Netflix drama.
To recall, the 43-year-old actress' appearance was confirmed by her label, Hinge Entertainment, saying that she has been offered to lead the cast of "The Bride of Black."
At the time, Kim Hee Sun's agency revealed that the actress had been courted to star in the drama, but nothing has been settled yet.
If the "Alice" star agrees to the offer, she is set to portray the role of Seo Hye Seung; which will be her second upcoming project next to the new fantasy office drama "Tomorrow" alongside SF9's Rowoon.
"The Bride of Black" Release Date and Synopsis
The Netflix mini-series follows the story of a high-class marriage information company and the characters' desire to delve into the remarriage market.
"The Bride of Black" depicts the life of the typical upper-class homemaker named Seo Hye Seung and her posh lifestyle in Gangnam.
Unfortunately, due to her husband's sudden death, she considered going into another marriage and sought help from a particular company.

Lee Hyun Wook on his Role in Korean Drama "Mine"
Lee Hyun Wook is currently making waves with his newly released drama "Mine" together with lead stars Lee Bo Young, Kim Seo Hyung, Ok Ja Yeon.
The 35-year-old actor plays the role of Han Ji Yong, Lee Bo Young's on-screen husband.
Aside from being the devoted husband, his character also portrays a successor of a chaebol family.
Prior to the "Mine" premiere, the "Search" star revealed his thoughts on the tvN drama.
At the time, Lee Hyun Wook said that upon reading the script, he did not hesitate to say yes to the offer, adding, "the drama has a charm that is attractive."
Moreover, he also wants the viewers to see his character, Han Ji Yong, as a wealthy and powerful person through the "luxurious clothing" that he'll wear, revealing that he "tried to come up with ideas to portray that aura."
Aside from the tvN drama, Lee Hyun Wook also appeared in JTBC's "She Would Never Know," that recently ended last March 9.
He played the role of Lee Jae Shin, alongside fellow lead stars Won Jin Ah, Ro Woon, and Lee Joo Bin.
