On June 29, his agency King Kong by Starship, announced, "Lee Kwang Soo is currently in talks to star in the drama 'Murderer's Shopping List' and he is positively reviewing the offer."
If the host-actor accepts the project, it will mark as his first drama after three years. Lee Kwang Soo is offered to play the role of Ahn Dae Sung, a supermarket cashier that has an extraordinarily detailed memory and has the ability to judge people by just observing them.
"Murderer's Shopping List" is based on a novel penned by Kang Ji Young. The drama will depict the story of various crimes and dangerous situations that can happen in society, specifically within an ordinary neighborhood.
Lee Kwang Soo is also making his big-screen comeback on August 11 with a new disaster-comedy film, "Sinkhole."
Even though he parted ways with "Running Man," Lee Kwang Soo is consistent in receiving various projects, proving his influence as an artist.
