Lim Soo Hyang onscreen partner in the upcoming Korean remake of the Venezuelan telenovela "Jane the Virgin" has been revealed - none other than Sung Hoon!
Sung Hoon is Lim Soo Hyang Leading Man in "Jane The Virgin"
The long wait is finally over - the "Love (ft. Marriage & Divorce)" star Sung Hoon is confirmed to join the cast of "Jane the Virgin." According to reports, Sung Hoon is to be actress Lim Soo Hyang's leading man in "Jane the Virgin" Korean remake.
The "My Secret Romance" star will be reuniting with Lim Soo Hyang after 10 years, following their series "New Tales of the Gisaeng" in 2011. In addition, their characters for the upcoming adaptation have been revealed.
Sung Hoon is expected to play as Kim Bok Rae, but takes the role of a plastic surgeon named Raphael. He is also called the master of scandals. After battling cancer, he decided to have a divorce from his wife for the happiness of the both of them.
Opposite to him is actress Lim Soo Hyang, who is about to portray the role of a drama assistant writer, Lee Soo Jung. She is the daughter of a single mother and received her grandmother's premarital chastity education.
Lee Soo Jung is a graduating college student of Korea University, majoring in Korean Language Education. Since she was told by her grandmother many times to keep her purity before marriage, she became more determined to follow her grandmother's advice.
Jane the Virgin Korean adaptation will be directed and written by Jeon Jeong Hwa.
Now that the two main leads have been confirmed, the filming begins in September 2021. However, some details regarding the production are still kept under wraps.

Things to Know about Sung Hoon and Lim Soo Hyang
Back in 2011, Sung Hoon and Lim Soo Hyang first worked together in the drama "New Tales of the Gisaeng." Afterwards, the two became busy with their solo projects.
Sung Hoon shared on Jessi's "Showterview" one funny fact about his underwater scene with Lim Soo Hyang in "New Tales of the Gisaeng."

He was asked by Jessi how his underwater kiss experience and his revelation made the staff laugh.
Sung Hoon confessed that he felt bad for actress during that scene, saying, "It'd be fine to kiss standing, facing each other. But if one of us flips over, that person will swallow lots of water."
Following his revelation, he apologized to Lim Soo Hyang and admitted that he didn't want to swallow water that time.
