Netflix unveiled an intriguing new trailer featuring Lee Jung Jae and Park Hae Soo in the upcoming series "Squid Game."
In the latest teaser video, the dark survival thriller drama stimulates the viewers' curiosity with death-defying challenges.
'Squid Game' Trailer Illustrate a Life and Death Survival Game Between 456 Contestants
456 participants need to get through the gruesome life and death game in order to win the grand prize of $40 million or 45.6 billion KRW; unfortunately, only one needs to survive.
Based on the second official trailer, hundreds of contestants were welcomed by a group of armed soldiers wearing red overalls as the participants gathered in one room.
"All of you in this room are living on the edge with debts you can't pay off."
With this, participants compete against each other and put their lives on the line as they battle out the intense large-scale game.
"In order to play fair, we can't disclose any information on the games beforehand," a representative explained to the speaker as the participants entered the first phase of the contest.
Interestingly, the actual game starts after 456 contestants spotted a giant statue similar to Squid Sister Marie of Squid Sisters firing at one participant.
"Let the games begin," the phrase flashed across the screen while one soldier explained that one needs to follow the rules to win the grand prize and survive.
Unfortunately, all players need to continue the game. Those who will be eliminated are set to face their death.
