On September 28, broadcast media JTBC released an exclusive video of the making of the new melodrama "People Who Look Like You" starring Go Hyun Jung, Shin Hyun Bin, Kim Jae Young, and Choi Won Young.
The four actors also shared their thoughts on the new drama, which is scheduled to air in October.
Go Hyun Jung, Shin Hyun Bin, and More Share Reasons For Choosing 'People Who Look Like You'
The new Wednesday and Thursday drama "People Who Look Like You," which is helmed by director Im Hyun Wook and penned by writer Yoon Bo Ra, released an exclusive making video of the drama on September 28.
It follows the story of a woman who abandoned her picture-perfect life to pursue her own desires with the encouragement of a stranger she met briefly.
Go Hyun Jung, Shin Hyun Bin, and Kim Jae Young shared their thoughts and reasons for choosing the drama, which is slated to air on October 13 at 10:30 p.m. KST on JTBC.
In the making video, the four actors described their characters and shared how they felt when they first read the script. They also expressed their excitement with the drama's potential viewers.
Go Hyun Jung, who will lead the drama, takes on the role of successful painter and essayist Jung Hee Joo.
She described her character as "a woman who lived her life with no regrets." However, after meeting "someone," drastic changes occurred in her life, which caused her conflicts.
On the other hand, Shin Hyun Bin introduced another character who will lead the melodrama, Goo Hae Won, a free-spirited art teacher.
According to the actress, Hae Won is a "poor yet dreamy and hopeful person". But like Hee Joo, an unusual event took place which flipped her life upside down, raising expectations.
In addition to that, Kim Jae Young, who will take on the role of crestfallen Seo Woo Jae, shared, "He is the main character as he lives his difficult life."
Seo Woo Jae has been hiding his anxiety and pain after not meeting his parents' expectations, especially his father, who was a genius sculptor.

Go Hyun Jung Shares Reason For Choosing the New Drama
When asked about the reason for choosing the new drama, Go Hyun Jung shared that she immediately fell in love with "People Who Look Like You" after reading the script of the first two episodes.
"I read the script for the first two episodes and thought, "I have to do this with all I can"," she shared.
However, the actress faced a slight uneasiness before filming, "I was worried about my acting ability, whether I would be able to portray the role of a couple well. But when I met my co-star and talked a bit, I eventually felt comfortable. I feel welcomed."

The actress starred in many popular dramas such as "The Queen's Classroom" and "Dear My Friends." She received her breakthrough role in the 2018 drama "Return" with Bong Tae Gyu.
