After being one of the trending topics these past few weeks due to the worldwide craze of the Netflix series, the South Korean beauty's social media accounts skyrocketed to millions after the "Squid Game" premiere.
From 400,000 followers, Jung Ho Yeon's Instagram grew to 10,000,000 followers in a span of two weeks since the psychological thriller Kdrama was released.
As of this writing, the model-actress' IG account rakes 12.7 million, beating Hallyu star Song Hye Kyo's Instagram with 12 million, making Jung Ho Yeon the second most followed Korean actress on Instagram.
She is next to Lee Sung Kyung, who also started out as a model, with 12.9 million IG followers.
In the mega-hit Kdrama "Squid Game," the South Korean beauty played the role of player number 067 named Kang Sae Byeok.
Jung Ho Yeon did a great job portraying the badass North Korean defector considering that the Netflix series is her first-ever appearance in Kdrama.
Apart from it, she will be guesting tvN's "You Quiz on the Block" season 3 hosted by Yoo Jae Suk and Jo Se Ho.

Interestingly, the "Squid Game" mania prompted lead stars Lee Jung Jae and Park Hae Soo to launch their own social media accounts.
Before, they used to update fans about their ongoing and upcoming projects thru their talent agencies' IG, but now, they can easily show a glimpse of their life right at their fingertips.
Created on October 2, Lee Jung Jae's Instagram @from_jjlee now has 1.4 million followers.
His first IG post was a close shot of him wearing a suit alongside the caption that reads, "Is this how you do it?" with hashtags #LeeJungJae #SquidGame.
As of this writing, the post garnered 1.4 million likes and almost 41,000 comments, where the majority of his fans welcomed the actor on social media.
The same goes for his "Squid Game" co-star, who also joined the bandwagon and launched his own IG.
Park Hae Soo's Instagram @haesoopark_official featured his first photo wearing a suit with a caption that says, "I participated, too. I'm Park Hae Soo."
The "Prison Playbook" star currently rakes 824,000 followers.
