"Lovers of the Red Sky," starring Kim Yoo Jung and Ahn Hyo Seop, continues to prove its dominance through its high viewership rating.
According to Nielsen Korea, episode 12 achieved an average nationwide rating of 8.8 percent, the same viewership rating for its October 11 episode.
In addition, the SBS historical drama retained its perfect streak and continued to lead the Monday and Tuesday drama for its time slot.
On the other hand, the new historical Kdrama "The King's Affection," which aired earlier than Kim Yoo Jung and Ahn Hyo Seop's K-drama, managed to score recorded average nationwide ratings of 6.7 percent.
The drama's second episode scored a slight increase from its pilot episode of 6.2 percent.

'Lovers of the Red Sky' Episode 12 Highlights: Hong Cheon Gi Willing to Sacrifice for Ha Ram
As the fantasy drama reaches more than half of the season, Hong Cheon Gi (Kim Yoo Jung) bravely admits her feelings towards Ha Ram (Ahn Hyo Seop.)
In "Lovers of the Red Sky" episode 12, the duo encounters Ma Wang and is eager to take the painter's eyes that truly belongs to Ha Ram.
Fortunately, the ring given by the astrologer served as Cheon Gi's protection against the demon king.
However, the manifestation led Ha Ram to become unconscious, which got Cheon Gi intensely worried.
Prince Yang Myeong (Gong Myung) came to help the divine painter, but Cheon Gi begged him to save Ha Ram.
Here, he knew that she would do anything for Ha Ram, even if it meant putting her life in danger.
During his conversation with the divine painter, Hong Cheon Gi admitted her feelings towards Ha Ram.
Prince Joo Hyang Shattered Because of the King's Revelation
At the palace, Prince Yang Myeong visited his father, King Sung Jo, to update him about Ha Ram and discuss the nearing sealing ceremony.
The King then made a huge revelation regarding the dynasty's future.
He personally mentioned that it would be him, Prince Yang Myeong, who would be the next crown prince. Unfortunately, this was heard by Prince Joo Hyang (Kwak Shi Yang), making him extremely furious about the King's decision.
Initially, the grand prince asked the King to reconsider his plans saying that his older brother was perfectly healthy and capable of leading.
King Sung Jo then mentioned why he didn't see a true leader in his son. He described him as a smart and healthy man but is not wise, adding that he has been after the demon king after the fire incident at the pavilion.
Will Prince Joo Hyang be the next Crown Prince?
The King had an intense discussion with his second son, Prince Joo Hyang. He questioned him as to why he wanted his younger brother to be the crown prince.
The father and son had a heated argument, leading King Sung Jo to exile him to Jeju Island. Unfortunately, the royal had a heart attack, causing him to vomit blood and collapse.
The following day, the royal official had a meeting regarding the next in line to the throne. Other scholars stated that the King appointed Prince Yang Myeong as the crown prince; however, there was no official statement to this.
