"Jirisan" cast members Ju Ji Hoon and Jun Ji Hyun spill more revelation regarding the highly anticipated series.
In the recently held press conference, the lead stars alongside actors Jo Han Chul and Oh Jung Se, with cinematographer Choi Sang Mook and screenwriter Kim Eun Hee, attended the event ahead of the premiere.
"Jirisan" is tvN's 15th-anniversary special project that focuses on the challenges and struggles of a group of rangers at the mysterious Jirisan National Park.
Screenwriter Kim Eun Hee Reveals What Prompted Her to Write Kdrama' Jirisan'
The renowned screenwriter, who penned the top-rating series "Signal" and "Kingdom," explained what made her decide to create a story about South Korea's second-tallest mountain.
The writer revealed that she has always admired Mt. Jirisan as a focal point of a drama, adding that she has "earnest aspirations rather than activities."
Moreover, the story highlights the "mysterious things could happen if the land was filled with grievances and sorrows."

Meet the 'Jirisan' Cast
In the soon-to-be-released tvN series, the Hallyu star took on the role of Mount Jirisan's top ranger Seo Yi Kang, who has vast experience in navigation and has expatriates in tracking down lost individuals that visited the park.
Meanwhile, the "Kingdom" star plays her rookie partner Kang Hyun Jo, an ex-lieutenant who had a terrible experience in the said park which made him become one of the rangers.
Joining the duo is the veteran actor Sung Dong Il, who is set to play Mount Jirisan's long-serving ranger Jo Dae Jin, who has been patrolling at the park all his life.
He is described as an honest and dedicated ranger, unlike his junior colleague, Jung Goo Young, played by Oh Jung Se, who lacks commitment to his work and will leave his work on the dot.
Meanwhile, Jo Han Chul took on the character of Park Il Hae, one of the park rangers with a deep sense of responsibility and willingness to take risks to save the lives of victims.
Ju Ji Hoon Reveals Being a Fan of Jun Ji Hyun Since Her 'My Sassy Girl' Days
As the press briefing continues, the 39-year-old actor admitted that he had been a big fan of the Hallyu star since her earlier years in the industry.
"I've been a fan since I was little, so it was very strange," he said praising Jun Ji Hyun, or Gianna Jun's tremendous evolution as an actress - from her role in "My Sassy Girl" to "Assassination."
"Her charm has left me speechless and has always been a role model for me," the actor added.
"Jirisan" is a reunion project between Ju Ji Hoon, Jun Ji Hyun and writer Kim Eun Hee given that she is the person behind the success of "Kingdom," which stars the duo.
The Hallyu star lauded the veteran screenwriter and mentioned that it was an "infinite honor" to work with Kim Eun Hee and also took the opportunity to express her gratitude towards her.
The same goes for the "Hyena" star explaining that despite "a lot of detailed writings," the veteran writer was able to bring out the "difficult scenes comfortably."
Ju Ji Hoon and Jun Ji Hyun's new Kdrama "Jirisan" is scheduled to air on October 23 exclusively on tvN and iQiyi.
