'Lovers of the Red Sky' Episode 13 Highlights: Ha Ram's Revenge to the Royal Family
The tension continued as Ha Ram (Ahn Hyo Seop) was held captive by the royal guards under Prince Joo Hyang (Kwak Si Yang) until the sealing ritual.
In the past episodes, the prince expressed his true intention about the demon king; to welcome him in his body to possess great power.
With this, Ha Ram knew the consequences that Ma Wang would manifest in Prince Joo Hyang's body. He will use it to rule the whole dynasty and bring chaos to the palace.
In "Lovers of the Red Sky" episode 13, Ha Ram is eager to take revenge on the royal family by assuring the older prince that he will hand over Ma Wang.
Meanwhile, Hong Cheon Gi (Kim Yoo Jung) is worried about Ha Ram's plan and his deal with Prince Joo Hyang. As a result, the divine painter is keen on completing the royal portrait.
The Deity's Premonition
As everyone prepares for the ceremony, Sam Shin, the goddess of life and Ho Ryung, the tiger goddess and the palace protector hints that the ritual will fail.
The goddesses say that they picked the wrong time to perform the sealing ceremony.
With this, Sam Shin was worried about the possible outcome but told Ho Ryung that she should not meddle, adding, "You will not be able to avoid someone's sacrifice."
The Sealing Ritual
The most awaited day has come for Prince Joo Hyang. With the help of the royal Shaman, Mi Soo, she began the ritual by driving out Shaman Wol Seon, who Prince Yang Myeong assigned to perform the ceremony.
Knowing that Mi Soo is under Prince Joo Hyang, she was tasked not to seal the demon king but instead transfer Ma Wang to his body.
As Ha Ram stands at the center of the platform, Shaman Mi Soo awakens the demon inside the blind astrologer's body.
With this, Prince Hoo Hyang is ready to welcome Ma Wang into his body, but an unexpected incident occurs.
The demon King resisted entering his body, but instead, he attacked the royal. Ma Wang was so strong that even the Shaman could not control the demon king.
As Shaman Wol Seon took over and performed the sealing ceremony, everyone was stunned to see that the divine painting was torn apart.
Prince Yang Myeong Saves Hong Cheon Gi from Ha Ram
As the tension rises during the ritual, Hong Cheon Gi disobeyed the royal's command and came out to check on Ha Ram.
She immediately went to Ha Ram, who is still possessed by the demon king and told him to pull himself together so he could release Ma Wang.
Unfortunately, the demon king recognized the eyes of the painter, which belonged to him and attacked the divine painter.
Prince Yang Myeong accidentally stabs Ha Ram in order to protect Cheon Gi.
