"The Veil" star Kim Ji Eun shares her honest feelings on her first successful lead acting role in her recently concluded spy action drama "The Veil."

"The Veil" depicts the story of the revenge-seeking top spy agent Han Ji Hyuk, played by Namgoong Min, who returns to the organization to find the traitor who dropped him into the abyss to death.

In the drama, Kim Ji Eun played the role of elite and promising agent Yoo Je Yi, who is partnered with Han Ji Hyuk for an investigation.

The actress received critical acclaim and favorable feedback with her perfect synchronization with her character.

The actress expressed her feelings about the drama's ending through her agency, HB Entertainment, saying, "I grew up feeling growing pains. If you grew up without growing pains, you wouldn't know anything. During the drama, I always feel pain in my chest, pushing myself to do well. But rather than being upset, the pain brought out the best in me and I learned a lot in the drama."

"It's a shame that the drama has already ended, but I will see everyone in my next project as a better actress," she continued.

Yoo Je Yi was Kim Ji Eun's first lead role in the history of South Korean television. She first appeared in the web drama "The Best Moment of Leaving the Company" in 2017.

During filming "The Veil," the star admitted that she felt a lot of pressure as a rookie in terrestrial television, she said, "It was my first lead role so there was a lot of pressure. I had a lot of difficulties with terminology."

"Whenever I encounter unfamiliar words, I will search for them and study a lot. It's difficult to memorize the words and their meaning, so I just studied and practiced harder," she added.

"But I overcame it all thanks to my co-stars," Kim Ji Eun extended her gratitude to everyone, "The director and seniors, especially Namgoong Min, helped me a lot. They really took good care of me. Thanks to them, I was able to relieve the burden in my heart easily."
