Uhm Ki Joon Dating History: Why 'The Penthouse' Star Was Linked to Super Junior's Kyuhyun
In January 2015, rumor sparked that the "Heart Surgeons" star was secretly dating the K-Pop star who was in the same musical show as him.
At the time, multiple outlets mentioned that a member of a popular boy group and a musical actor were in a relationship. However, the 45-year-old actor addressed the rumors and quickly denied their relationship.
During his appearance in MBC's "Radio Star," he revealed that after the news circulated, he received a lot of calls asking about the issue.
"I was probably the first to find out. I received a call about it," he said.
At the time, his musical co-star, Lee Gun Myung, who was also with him in "Radio Star," was asked about his thoughts regarding the dating issue.
Instead of answering the question thoughtfully, he joked about seeing him late at night to go grab a drink.
"They always go out to drink by themselves late at night so I thought, 'Maybe that was why,'" he said, which made Uhm Ki Joon and Super Junior's Kyuhyun flustered.
However, the idol group member teased the audience, saying, "Uhm Ki Joon sent me a text telling me about the rumor, so I jokingly called him, 'Honey.' After receiving the text, he brutally cussed me out," he said.
Uhm Ki Joon and Super Junior's Kyuhyun are known to be close drinking buddies.

Uhm Ki Joon's Ideal Type is Moon Geun Young
In his 2020 interview with SBS "My Little Old Boy," the musical actor spoke about his personal thoughts about marriage and his ideal type.
Despite being single, he says he is open with marriage but gets honest about his bad habit - being picky when it comes to women, especially now that he is older. He admitted that he "sees a woman's flaws first" as soon as he meets them.
Interestingly, he once named his ideal type; the former child star turned sought-after leading lady Moon Geun Young.
The actress skyrocketed her career at a young age after debuting as one of the promising child actresses and because of her talent, she is known to be "the nation's little sister."
As for "The Penthouse" star, he explained why he thought of the actress as his ideal type.
"When I saw her acting in a movie, she left a very strong impression. I wondered how she could act like that at her age," revealed Uhm Ki Joon.
