Lee Sang Yoon, who led the hit drama "One the Woman," talked about the popularity and the ending of his latest drama with Lee Honey, Lee Won Geun and Jin Seo Yeon.
He also talked about his friendship with co-star Lee Honey, their chemistry and kissing scene.
Lee Sang Yoon on Working With Fellow 'One the Woman' Star Lee Honey
Lee Sang Yoon and Lee Honey led the recently concluded hit SBS drama "One the Woman," which recorded a nationwide viewership rating of 17.8%, breaking its own viewership records.
In the drama, Lee Sang Yoon plays the role of the rich heir Han Seung Wook, who gave a delicate and passionate performance.
When asked about his chemistry with co-star Lee Honey, he revealed that he was initially awkward with her, "She has always been a person with bright and cheery energy. The filming was fun because she led the atmosphere on set."
The actor said that their drama received critical acclaim and recognition because of Lee Honey. He said, "The script was fun but Lee Honey's acting performance made it even better."

Lee Sang Yoon also talked about their first kiss on screen, saying, "The kissing scenes weren't deep at first [when we filmed] but after seeing it on screen, the kissing itself was meaningful."
"So I thought my chemistry with Lee Honey was strong and that scene was just like what it was supposed to be, strong and emotional," he continued.
"Personally, Lee Honey deserves to receive an award this year for successfully leading the drama with her two-role acting," Lee Sang Yoon added with so much praise for the actress.
Lee Sang Yoon Shares Honest Thoughts on His Character and the Drama's Ending
According to the actor, the director instructed him to keep his character simple. He said, "The director wanted to see a male lead that is commonly seen in popular dramas, but with a big heart, empathy and compassion."
Lee Sang Yoon wishes that through his character, Han Seung Wook, brought a refreshing break in the frustrating situation due to COVID-19.
He also added, "The drama is a work I entered without the expectations of a high rating but I am happy that "One the Woman" was well-received by the viewers. It gave us [the actors and the production team] good energy to continue the show."

With a sullen heart, Lee Sang Yoon concluded, "I am very happy to finish the work that is highly loved not only in South Korea but also in the world. It was an honor to be working with Lee Honey and the rest of the crew. "One the Woman" is something I'll always miss."
