"The Call" wrapped up 2020 with a shocking twist as the thriller mystery movie starring Park Shin Hye and Jeon Jong Seo gave viewers a mini heart attack in every scenario.

The Netflix original definitely kept the viewers at the edge of their seats with its surprising revelations and character developments that gained massive attention from the audience.

Helmed and written by Lee Chung Hyun, "The Call" focuses on the connection between Oh Yeong Sook, played by Jeon Jong Seo, and Kim Seo Yeon, portrayed by the Hallyu star, whose lives got intertwined by one phone call despite living in a different time.

Interestingly, the adrenaline-filled roller coaster film received a positive response from the public and earned several nods from prestigious ceremonies, including Blue Dragon Film Award 2021.

The film was nominated as Best Supporting Actress for Lee El, Best New Director, Best Art Direction, Best Music, and Best Cinematography and Lighting.

Amid the continued recognition for the Netflix film, director Lee Chung Hyun previously mentioned that he doesn't have plans to create another sequel and confirms that "The Call" will be a "standalone film. "
