Korean stars Lee Junho, Taecyeon, Park Hyung Sik, EXO's D.O. and more shocked the public with their amazing glow-up after their military discharge. Whose glow-up is the best?
Lee Junho
2PM's Lee Junho entered the military last May 30, 2019 and was discharged on March 20, 2021.
After his discharge, Junho got busy with music and shows. He then led the megahit Friday-Saturday romance-drama "The Red Sleeve Cuff," alongside Lee Se Young.
But prior to taking on new projects, Lee Junho surprised his fans with his massive glow-up after he finished serving the military, making him a constant hot topic on different social platforms.
Ok Taecyeon
Another "beastly idol," Taecyeon of 2PM returned from the military last May 16, 2019. Fans were floored to see the singer-actor all bulked up, earning him the nickname "Captain Korea." In fact, he led a platoon while he was serving the army.
Soon enough, he starred in "The Game: Towards Zero" in 2020 and was marked as his first drama following "Save Me" before enlisting in 2017.
Taecyeon then played as the villain Jang Han Seok in tvN's megahit crime-comedy drama "Vincenzo," one of Taecyeon's iconic roles.
In 2021, he portrayed the role of Ra Yi Eon in the historical-romance series "Secret Royal Inspector & Joy," alongside Kim Hye Yoon.
Park Hyung Sik
Park Hyung Sik made fans drool over him with his muscular physique as he got discharged from the military on January 4.
Then, the Wooga Squad member starred in the thriller K-drama "Happiness" as Jung Yi Hyun, a fearless and smart detective who has romantic feelings for Yoon Sae Bom (Han Hyo Joo).
The 30-year-old actor also co-starred with the gorgeous actress Han So Hee in the romance drama "Soundtrack#1".
EXO D.O.
EXO member and "100 Days My Prince" star Doh Kyungsoo (prominently known as D.O.) enlisted from the military on July 1, 2019. He finished his mandatory service last January 25. His fans were impressed by his transformation as he seemed bulked up after serving the army.
Then, D.O. excitedly returned to his music activities with his group, and also released his first solo mini-album "Empathy" in July.
The "It's Okay, That's Love" star also made a comeback as an actor and bagged two projects this year. He just finished filming his upcoming movie "The Moon" and is currently working on his new romance film "Secret," along with "Hellbound" actress Won Jin Ah and "He is Psychometric" star Shin Ye Eun.
Doh Kyungsoo is also confirmed to headline the upcoming legal drama "True Swordsmanship." This will mark as his first-ever court series, where he will portray the character of a passionate prosecutor.
SHINee Minho
Korean heartthrob and one of K-pop's multifaceted artists, SHINee's Choi Minho, had a meaningful stay in the military until November 2020. "The Most Beautiful Goodbye" was Minho's last series before entering the army.
Minho made a special appearance in Ji Chang Wook and Kim Ji Won's drama "Lovestruck in the City." He also starred in "Yumi's Cells" and is to lead the forthcoming K-dramas "Goosebumps" and "Fabulous," slated to premiere soon.
Choi Tae Joon
From being a clumsy attorney in "Suspicious Partner," Choi Tae Joon shocked many with his talented and charismatic look in "So I Married an Anti-Fan."
He made another transformation after he was discharged from the military last May 18. Choi Tae Joon's new long and curly locks gave him a more mature aura, earning praises from fans.
Earlier, he and his long-time girlfriend surprised the public with their pregnancy and marriage announcement. They tied the knot on January 22, 2022.
