An exclusive report by a media outlet states that the "The Beauty Inside" star confirmed his appearance after being courted as one of the main cast.

Apart from the actor, "Dog Days" cast also boasts a roster of South Korea's top actors and actresses, starting with the Oscar winner Youn Yuh Jung.

Yoo Hae Jin, Kim Yoon Jin, "Move to Heaven" Tang Jun Sang, "SKY Castle" star Kim Seo Hyung and Daniel Henney have also confirmed their appearance in the forthcoming film.

Although their roles have not yet been announced, some reports noted that Lee Hyun Woo, who is set to star in the upcoming Korean remake of "Money Heist," took over the role that was initially set for the 35-year-old star.

At the height of Kim Seon Ho's controversy, media outlets noted that the actor will not appear in his upcoming projects, one of which is "Dog Days."

On October 20, the movie's production company, JK Film, confirmed that they would be replacing the "Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha" star due to a slew of controversies he was facing at the time.

"It's a bit burdensome to keep going [with Kim Seon Ho] because it's the role of a romantic couple. We have spoken with the agency, decided to replace him, and are taking the necessary steps," a representative mentioned as cited by an outlet.

Helmed by director Kim Deok Min, "Dog Days" depicts the lives of people working at a veterinary hospital and their heartwarming stories involving their special friends.

The upcoming film is slated to begin its production this December 2021.
